Assessing Officers
Meeting schedule for 2016
January 13 - 10:30am at the Crowne Plaza Lansing, 925 S Creyts Rd,
Lansing, MI 48917.  The program will be a presentation by Heather
Frick, Executive Director of the State Tax Commission who will be
providing an update on assessing issues.  Following the program and
lunch, a 4 hour renewal course will start at 12:30pm.  Details are
available on the Events Calendar page.  Please RSVP by January 8
with Gail Dolbee.

April 13 - 12 noon at the Beacon Club, Portage, MI.  The program will
be a presentation by Brian Pittelko, Regional Analyst from the UpJohn
Institute. Details, including menu selections, are available on the
Events Calendar page. Please RSVP by April 6 with Gail Dolbee.

June 15 - MMAAO outing and meeting.  Outing starts at 8am.  Meeting
and lunch start at 1pm. A presentation discussing various topics and
current issues in regards to the Michigan Tax Tribunal from former
Victoria Enyart, former MTT Judge.  Registration forms are available on
the Events Calendar page. Please RSVP by June 10 with Gail Dolbee.

September 14 -12:00pm to 2:30pm at Coral Gables, 220 Water Street,
Saugatuck, MI 49453.  Lunch will start at noon followed by the program
and then a MMAAO meeting.  The program will be a presentation by
Michael Racklyeft, Southfield City Assessor, discussing the appraisal of
Commercial and Industrial Properties.  Details including menu

by September 9 with Gail Dolbee.

website.  The MMAAO is made up of assessing and equalization
personnel within District 2 of the Michigan Assessors Association.

Directors throughout the State of Michigan.

  • September 29 - Developing ECFs Using Sales Data
    & Other Market Analyses, presented by Timothy
    Schnelle, Michigan Department of Treasury.  
    Sponsored by Muskegon County Equalization.  8 hours
    of continuing education credit for assessors.  The cost
    is $75. Please register by September 16.  More details
